Imagine a cold night. Small piles of snow at the side of the streets get dirty by the passing cars running home. Our eyes look at the screen and our fingers are typing fast on the keyboard, trying to spare some time we already know is not enough. We give in. Young happy couples wearing red scarves remind us why windows are decorated with lights, Christmas trees are dressed up and the smell of burned wood is in the air. A man in
a big blue coat drags big bags of toys for his kids, a smile anticipates his happiness for the upcoming surprise. Imagine a distant family waiting for you. Imagine reaching them via Skype and glancing at the sloppy decorations that change the perception of a familiar place. The table is full of food and wine is flowing. We hope for it. We hope to grasp a bite of happiness at 20 Mb for second. But we’re still here, stuck in routine that makes us work even in the most magical night of the year. Magic. Here it is. Some steps on the ground-floor. Light steps. The door opens and shows a graceful silhouette. A face. Here you are!
