I've written this song after attending Nick Cave's concert in Lucca, one of the last moments I have shared with a person that has been very important to me. The family history of Nick Cave and the cathartic ritual he performs during each of his concerts really influenced my recent artistic researches, and The Wind Cave is an ode to the healing process music has represented for me in the last year.
lyrics
There you go, once again
Whispering in my limbs
Tethering my electricity
And then releasing it
Oh master
All of a sudden
Releasing it
While the game of life
Streams through your window
And the game of death
Has hit your door
All of a sudden
Oh master
You make me sore
And the cave of the wind
Is an endless maze
So sweet so sweet
So sore so sore
Will you ever breath again?
And the mist approaches fast
Your core, and the time you’ve got at last
Has gone, and the life you’ve spent so fast
Is over, and your uncontaminated lust
Is sitting on your mind’s throne
Is sitting on your mind’s throne
Is sitting on your mind’s throne
Is sitting on your mind’s throne
And the cave of the wind
Is an endless maze
So sweet so sweet
So sore so sore
Will you ever breath again?
And the cave of the wind
Is an endless maze
So sweet so sweet
So sore so sore
Will you ever breath again?
And the cave of the wind
Is an endless maze
So sweet so sweet
So sore so sore
Will you ever breath again?
Will you ever breath again?
Will you ever breath again?
