Komorebi, title track of the album and Japanese word that can be roughly translated as “the sunlight streaming through the leaves of the trees”, is a song about going back to your origins, intended as nature, as your "soul places". This song, written by Iulian and myself during a hot afternoon in the Milanese summer, tries to serve as a reminder that we are allmade of the same atoms that exist in rivers, bushes, trees and grasses. An attempt to challenge our self-perception as human beings and a choice to erase ourselves and jump in an ecosystem that, with or without us, keeps rolling.
lyrics
Bushes and ashes
You turn into a tree
How does it feel
To breath?
Flickers and flashes
And the pouring rain
How does it feel
To live again
Sleeping in the dew
Are you cold?
Or do you embrace
The dawn?
Where we come from
Is where I wanna go to
Where we come from
Is home
Rivers and basins
You thaw into the sea
How does it feel
To sway
Leaves and dust
In the dirty haze
How does it feel
To be afraid?
Blending with the moss
As the water falls
Is this
Where I belong?
Where we come from
Is where I wanna go to
Where we come from
Is home
Where we come from
Is where I wanna go to
Where we come from
Is home
Where we come from
Is where I wanna go to
Where we come from
Is home
