This is a cover of a song that was born as a jingle and then recorded to be released together with its cover. My bubba & Mi (now My bubba) used to play this song at shows to promote their album by that same title. His Clancyness heard the song, made it's version, and came up with the idea of the joint release dating back to 2013.
