To Fade At Dusk, the moment when the shadows blend and it looks like there’s still enough light to grasp on. The night is about to take over, but you disappear – gone behind that uncertain point when there’s nothing left to be done. "To Fade At Dusk" is the new EP by The Yellow Traffic Light, and despite the imagery referring to a tormented and shadowy moment, the music is clear, straight to the point, and very aware of its power. The four piece from Turin, Italy, shows bitter guitar soaked in reverb, for quick and catchy melodies that unexpectedly extend towards psychedelic movements. The shoe gaze of the new century and the essential Captured Tracks’ scene, on one side, and the classics like Pink Floyd, Doors, and some kraut, on the other, become the perfect expression of the band’s love for garage-rock, from which they inherit their brazen attitude. What impresses the most in these four tracks by The Yellow Traffic Light is the determination of how the songs hit you without warning. "To Fade At Dusk" is out now on limited edition CD and digital.
